The Objective:
Di Napoli, an independent Italian pizzeria, approached us looking for a brand identity that would help them stand out in a competitive market. With fitters booked and an opening date fast approaching, the project required a fast turnaround without compromising on creativity. The goal was to create a distinctive, energetic brand that felt fun, welcoming and full of personality.


The Plan:
- Brand Development:
- We began by establishing the core personality of the brand. Rather than leaning into a traditional Italian aesthetic, we wanted Di Napoli to feel bold, lively and memorable.
- We developed a bright, confident colour palette paired with playful, characterful typography. A chunky headline font was combined with a quirky handwritten accent font, giving the brand both impact and personality. This typographic pairing became the foundation of the logo design.
- To further bring the identity to life, we created a bespoke set of illustrations designed to feel as though they had been sketched by hand. Inspired by chalkboard menus and chunky marker drawings, these playful doodle-style graphics were layered with chalkboard and squared paper textures to enhance the handcrafted, authentic feel.
- We also introduced fun, energetic and pun-filled copy to inject humour and warmth into the brand, ensuring it felt approachable and full of flavour.
- Rollout & Signage:
- Once the identity was established, we moved quickly into application, developing signage ready for the restaurant’s launch. The bold colours, expressive typography and illustrative elements translated seamlessly into large format, ensuring strong street presence ahead of opening.
The Solution:
The final brand for Di Napoli delivers energy, personality and standout appeal. By combining vibrant visuals, handcrafted illustration and playful messaging, we created an identity that feels modern, distinctive and full of character. Delivered to deadline and ready for launch, the brand now provides a strong, cohesive foundation for the pizzeria as it welcomes its first customers.
